Shipping & Delivery

Shipping live insects is a temperamental process. We require an address where someone is available to accept the package(s) on the first delivery attempt.  When ordering any of our products, we present you with a tracking number so that you know where and when your package will arrive. It is important for someone to be present at the time of the arrival because short exposure to hot and cold temperatures can have a destructive effect on live flies. If we determine that a package has been left at the address without someone present by our delivery service, the damages are not covered under our Live Arrival Guarantee. In the case that someone is present and the insects arrive dead or damaged the customer then qualifies for free replacement, remember we do not cover shipping and handling fees. If the customer dismisses free replacement, only a store credit will be offered or issued.  Please note we do not refund. DFC take pride in our products and want our packages to arrive in favorable condition just as much as you do so please assist us by choosing a suitable delivery address.
Our live plant shipping is shipped Priority Mail, which ensures the best-controlled conditions for shipping plants. Much like shipping insects, we require an address where someone is available to accept the package(s) on the first delivery attempt.  We ship most all year round; make sure that the address we are shipping to is one where the live items can receive immediate attention.  Remember, extreme weather condition may be destructive to our product and your purchase. If it is better to have your package(s) delivered to an alternative address make sure you make these changes.  Our Live Arrival Guarantee will not cover any packages that were left at an address with out a person present at time of arrival of the package(s).  Orders placed under disagreeable weather conditions are at the risk of the customer.

Ensuring the privacy, security, and confidentiality of your personal information is important to us. Cookies are used when shopping on our site only to take and fulfill customer orders. When ordering from us we may request that you supply us with "personal information," such as your name, email address, mailing and shipping addresses, home or work telephone number, and/or credit card information. DFC uses this information in order to process you orders and provide you with the status of your purchase. Our servers are secure and we protect your information using firewall technology. DFC wants to keep you informed about new products, specials, promotions, and offers via email. If you don’t wish to receive any of this information you may unsubscribe by following the unsubscribe instructions located in our email newsletters. When entering any of our special promotion or contests, we may request that you supply us with your  "personal information," such as your name, email address, and mailing and shipping addresses. If you win we will send the prize to the address provided and notify you via email. If you don’t wish to receive any emails after you enter one of our special promotions you may unsubscribe by following the unsubscribe instructions located in our email newsletters.

Returns & Replacements

Any products that are defective due to manufacturing may be returned within 30 days from the date of purchase. After we ship live plants, the growing conditions are out of our hands, we have the right to limit our guarantee to safe arrival only. If you would like to file a return claim, you can notify us by phone or email as long as your have your order number.
When sending the package back to us, make sure the return authorization number we give you via email or phone is printing clearly on the outside of the package. Any returns without an authorization number will be refused. All other claims will be dealt with on a case-to-case basis. Shipping and handling charges are non- refundable. 

Order Acknowledgement Policy

When we provide a receipt or order confirmation, this does not aggregate our approval to sell. DFC has the right at anytime to accept or deny any purchases for any reason or to supply less then the quantity ordered.

Payment, Pricing & Promotions

Our website accepts all major credit cards. It is important to provide your exact billing address and telephone number that you have on file with your credit card company.  Neglecting to do so may result in deferment processing your order. Your credit card will be billed directly after placement of your order. No surcharge will be added. After you have placed your order if at anytime you wish to cancel your transaction, a 3% cancelation charge will be billed to your account. In the case a product is listed at an inaccurate price because of a typographical error or an error in pricing due to compliance with our suppliers, we have the right to refuse the order places for this product. At any time, we have right to cancel any orders in any case even if your account has been charged. If we have charged your credit card and you have canceled your order, we immediately issue a credit to your credit card account in the appropriate amount.
