Syngonium Podophyllum White

Syngonium species are often grown as houseplants, usually only in the juvenile foliage stages. For successful growth Keep temp range from 68 to 86°F during the growing season. They require high humidity, including misting the leaves regularly, and good light, but not direct sunlight; they will tolerate low light levels.

Common name: Nephthytis, Arrowhead Vine, Goosefoot

Origin: Native to Mexico, Central America

Family: Araceae, Arum

Height x width: vining to 3-6' or more.

Mature size : Triangular becoming arrow-shaped (sagittate) 3-5" long in young or juvenile phase, then divided or lobed in the mature phase with 5-11 elliptic leaflets; pale green often with grayish markings, or various colors for cultivars.

Flowers: pale to purplish A leaf like bract will turn red at fruiting, not seen in cultivation.

Light: bright to moderate, clustered foliage cultivars often have less vining in high light.

Temperature: They like high humidity and warm temperature.

Watering: Keep soil well drained and well watered.

Propagation: tip or shoot cuttings.
